Wellington, Florida – November 16, 2018 – The annual ESP Holiday Series is set to begin on Wednesday, November 28, and continue with seven weeks of hunter and jumper competition at Palm Beach International Equestrian Center (PBIEC), concluding on Sunday, January 6, before the start of the 2019 Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF) season. This year’s competition will once again highlight CSI 4* competition during the circuit’s first week, while also hosting the prestigious USEF Under 25 Show Jumping National Championship.
PBIEC and the ESP management team are proud to welcome the 2018 USEF Under 25 Show Jumping National Championship to the venue during the first week of the ESP Holiday Series, running alongside the Holiday & Horses CSI 4* from November 28 through December 2. The annual USEF Under 25 Show Jumping Championship routinely features the top rising stars of the sport competing for coveted top honors. Competition will begin on Thursday, November 29, with the $10,000 Under 25 Championship 1st Competition, followed by the $15,000 Under 25 Championship 2nd Competition on Friday, November 30. The championship will conclude with the $25,000 Under 25 Championship Final, which features two rounds of competition and will crown the 2018 Under 25 National Champion.

Holiday & Horses competition hosts the single week of international jumping competition during the seven-week ESP Holiday Series circuit. Wednesday’s competition will feature the $35,000 Dover Saddlery Holiday & Horses Opener CSI 4*, while the highlight class on Thursday will be the $35,000 Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital 1.50m Qualifier CSI 4*. The $35,000 Dever Golf Cars 1.45m Speed Class CSI 4* is set to take place on Friday, November 30, ahead of the highlight $205,000 Holiday & Horses CSI 4* Grand Prix presented by Palm Beach County Sports Commission, beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 1. For hunter riders, a $5,000 USHJA National Hunter Derby presented by #1 Education Place and $15,000 USHJA International Hunter Derby presented by #1 Education Place will be hosted on Nov. 30, in the Rost Arena. The week will conclude with the $25,000 Omega Alpha Holiday & Horses National Grand Prix on Sunday, December 2.
The Year End Awards Show (December 7-9) welcomes Regional I hunter competition featuring a $1,000 USHJA National Hunter Derby and USEF Level 3 jumper classes, including the $10,000 #1 Education Place Welcome Stake and $25,000 Year End Awards Grand Prix presented by #1 Education Place. The 1.35m Osphos® Stake will run in the DeNemethy Ring on Dec. 9.
Competition resumes with Holiday I (December 11-13), set to feature National “A” classes alongside USEF Level 4 jumper opportunities. The $10,000 Ultima Fitness Open Stake will take place on Tuesday, Dec. 11, while the $25,000 Holiday I Grand Prix presented by Ultima Fitness is set to be the highlight class on Thursday, Dec. 13. A $5,000 Osphos® 1.35m Stake will be held in the DeNemethy Ring on Dec. 13. A $2,500 USHJA National Hunter Derby presented by Ultima Fitness will accompany top hunter competition during the week.
Holiday II (December 14-16) returns National “A” and USEF Level 4 weekend competition, featuring the $10,000 Eufora Welcome Stake on Dec. 14, $25,000 Holiday II Grand Prix presented by ProElite® on Dec. 16, and the $2,500 USHJA National Hunter Derby presented by ProElite® on Dec. 15. The week will also offer a $5,000 Osphos® 1.35m Stake on Dec. 16.
Holiday III (December 19-23) will feature a new week of Premier “AA” and USEF Level 4 competition for hunter and jumper entries. The $10,000 Score at the Top Welcome Stake will take place on Dec. 20, ahead of the $30,000 Semican Holiday III Grand Prix. The $5,000 Osphos® 1.35m Stake is set to kick-off competition in the International Ring on Dec. 22. A $5,000 USHJA National Hunter Derby in the Rost Arena will take place on Dec. 21.
The ESP Holiday Series continues with the New Year’s (December 28-30) competition, hosting National “A” and USEF Level 4 classes. A $10,000 Vita Flex Welcome Stake will precede a $5,000 Martha Jolicoeur 1.35m Stake and $25,000 ESP New Year’s Grand Prix presented by Vita Flex, both held on Dec. 30. The $2,500 USHJA National Hunter Derby presented by Vita Flex will take place in the Rost Arena on Dec. 28.
The competitive circuit will conclude with the Holiday Finale (January 2-6) featuring the final week of Premier “AA” and USEF Level 4 of the ESP Holiday Series. The $10,000 Equiline Welcome Stake will be set in the International Ring on Jan 3., while the final $5,000 Brazilian Court Hotel 1.35m Stake will begin competition on Jan 5. For hunter competitors, a $5,000 USHJA National Hunter Derby presented by The Wanderers Club will be offered on Jan. 4. The circuit will close out with the $50,000 Holiday Final Grand Prix presented by Equiline in the International Ring on Jan 6.
