Julien Epaillard (FRA) returned to his winning ways at the Mediterranean Equestrian Tour yesterday by claiming the top spot in the €24,700 Damman Reitzplatz Trophy CSI 2*, a 1.45m speed challenge.
The Frenchman teamed up with Safari d’Auge for the victory, riding the 12-year-old bay Selle Français (Diamant de Semilly x Marquise du Grimeux) across the finish line in 65.51 seconds while having no penalties attributed to them.
Another familiar face and winner at the sunny circuit, Constant van Paesschen (BEL) and Vendetta Treize (Diamant de Semilly x Eiger) earned silver honors, the only difference from the winners being their time of 65.99 seconds.
Ben Maher (GBR) and Cirus du Ruisseau Z (Chellano Z x Carthago Z) completed the podium backed by a clean run in 67.56 seconds.
