Philipp Weishaupt (GER) & Belo Horizonte started the weekend on the right track yesterday by claiming top honors in the €25,900 Gemeente ’s-Hertogenbosch Prize, the first international jumping class of The Dutch Masters – Indoor Brabant CSI 5* in The Netherlands.
The German and the 10-year-old bay Holsteiner gelding (Baloubet du Rouet x Clearway) were victorious in the two-round challenge by leaving all the 1.45m maximum-height set poles on their cups throughout their two performances, completing the decisive round in 50.53 seconds for the victory.
Maikel van der Vleuten (NED) & Arera C (KWPN, Indoctro x Voltaire) had set the time to be beaten earlier after no penalties in 50.86 seconds, and would only be surpassed by Weishaupt (GER) and “Belo”.
Christian Ahlmann (GER) & Casuality Z (by Cassini II x Curios ET Z) rounded out the top three with no penalty-points, going through the timers in 51.05 seconds at the end of their final outing.
