Palm Beach Masters Series Adds New Palm Beach Open Jumper Show

The Palm Beach Masters Series is delighted to announce it has added a new jumper show to its lineup of top-class events. Designed to give young horses experience at a superior venue, the new Palm Beach Open offers classes at a wide range of heights as well as Classic Champions Inc. classes specifically for young jumper horses. The event will be held at the spectacular Deeridge Farms in Wellington, Florida, March 22-25, 2018.

The 2018 Palm Beach Open is a USEF rated Jumper 2 show and features courses ranging from .95 to 1.40 meters. Classic Champions, Inc. will also be presenting classes specifically for 5, 6, and 7 year-olds, something they will also be doing at the Palm Beach Masters Series’ Deeridge Derby, February 28-March 4. The Palm Beach Open will award just under $100,000 in total prize money.  Entries will be available online at http://www.horseshowsonline.com and close Wednesday, March 14, 2018.

“We have received a lot of positive feedback from exhibitors about how much they love competing at Deeridge Farms and there have been multiple requests for additional shows,” said Lou Jacobs, event co-founder along with siblings Charlie Jacobs and Katie Robinson. “We are thrilled to be able to welcome everyone back, not only for the Deeridge Derby at the end of February, but now also for the new Palm Beach Open in March.”

Competition in the Deeridge Jumper Ring that boasts all-weather footing begins at 8:00 a.m. each day, while action in the spectacular grass Grand Prix Ring starts at 9:00 a.m. each day, except on Sunday, March 25 when it begins at 10:00 a.m.

The 2018 Palm Beach Masters Series kicked off with the third annual CP Palm Beach Masters CSI3*-W Presented by Sovaro®, held February 1-4, which featured the prestigious $220,000 Longines FEI World Cup™ Jumping Wellington, one of the final two East Coast qualifiers in the Longines FEI World Cup™ Jumping North American League. The elite entry list included multiple Olympic and World Cup veterans who were seeking valuable points to qualify for the 2018 Longines FEI World Cup™ Final in Paris, France in April. Ireland’s Daniel Coyle claimed victory with U.S. Olympic veterans Laura Kraut and Margie Engle taking second and third places respectively.
The Palm Beach Masters Series also features the second annual Deeridge Derbyon February 28-March 4, a USEF nationally-rated show where the nation’s most elegant hunter horses and ponies take center stage by invitation to compete in prestigious classes including the $5,000 USHJA National Open Hunter Derby, $5,000 USHJA Junior/Amateur Hunter Derby, $2,500 USHJA Pony Derby and the highly competitive $50,000 USHJA International Hunter Derby. All events are hosted at the spectacular Deeridge Farms, situated in the heart of North American equestrian sport in Wellington, Florida.
