Santa Claus has already “brought” a great Christmas “gift” to both Ludger Beerbaum Stables and their top rider Philipp Weishaupt (GER). The good news is that the now former owner of LB Convall, Hans Liebherr, reached an agreement to sell the 10-year-old Holsteiner Verband Hengsthaltung & Vermarktung stallion (Colman x Cascavelle) to Ludger’s equestrian enterprise.

The possibility of the great horse being sold was brewing, which meant that Weishaupt could lose his most important mount. This would be very sad since the beautiful grey horse had taken him to victory in two legs of the Rolex Grand Slam of Show Jumping, the first one in the 2016 Rolex Grand Prix at CHIO Aachen 5* and the $3,000,000 Canadian PacificInternational Grand Prix CSI 5* presented by Rolex last September at Spruce Meadows.
