Alberto Zorzi (ITA) & Contanga won the €115,000 Turkish Airlines Olympia Grand Prix CSI 5* yesterday at Olympia – The London International Horse Show CSI 5*-W in England. The Italian and the 13-year-old bay Oldenburger Pferdezuchtverband mare (Catoki x Contangio) clinched the victory in the 1.60m class by leaving all the poles up during the jump-off and crossing the finish line in 34.05 seconds.
Harrie Smolders (NED) & Zinius (Nabab de Reve x Kannan) claimed silver honors backed by their second fault-free run in 34.24 seconds.
Michael Whitaker (GBR) & JB’s Hot Stuff (Locarno 62 x Cavalier Royale) rounded out the top three with no penalties, stopping the timers in 34.30 seconds during the tiebreaker.
